Health, Safety & Hygiene
Does my baby need to have injections before commencing swimming lessons?
What if my child is ill?
If your child has an ear, eye or chest infection, then it is best to avoid swimming until this has cleared. For health and safety reasons, we advise that you should not bring your child into the pool, during or for 48 hours after suffering from diarrhoea.
It is important not to bring your child with anything that could be infectious, such as chickenpox, this is considered infectious until all blisters have dried up.
Very often children will feel exhausted after any illness and may need some time to recuperate before returning to swimming lessons.
Hygiene
We would advise that long hair is tied back and swim caps be worn
